The Bridger Challenge

So many people, even the Avengers have assembled for me. Now let’s assemble for each other.

–Bridger (with some help from Auntie Cole, Mom and Dad)

Thousands have reached out to Bridger to offer to him what they could.  Every single gesture—from the pictures colored by kids to Cap’s very shield—every gift, word, and thought has been meaningful and life-changing for us.  As we’ve witnessed Bridger receive this outpouring of support and watched his smiles grow, and listened to his laughter through what would have been an otherwise bleak recovery, it has become our deepest desire to spread as much of that hope, love, and goodness with the rest of the world as we can.

With Bridger’s permission and help, the “Bridger Challenge” is born.

Some of our favorite comments about Bridger have been those who mentioned his name,  “Bridger,” as someone who builds bridges.  We hope to use this challenge as an opportunity to build a few “bridges” of our own with family members, friends, acquaintances, or even people outside of our own social circle.

And, of course, for those who are struggling to think of a specific way of how to help another, we still encourage donations to some of our favorite charities:  The Wounded Warrior Project, Mission 22, and Operation Underground Railroad.

Every act of kindness, to us, is heroic.  And we want to hear about your experiences “building bridges” as you do this challenge.  Email us at TheBridgerChallenge@gmail.com to share your stories.
